Little Tawnie said in plain and simple terms that he should speak with the God and have it take back Sunbeam. Simple! But by doing that, indeed it would ...

The passing of a warrior has taken place, his day gone.

Mourned by a few, some bitterly, some only in passing.

He was a father, a husband and a friend.

He sought only the beauty of the land, he discovered so much more.

Tho he walked, lo, ...

Meldrum knew the difficulties the army had when dealing with the muddy roads, wagon ruts mostly the worst of weather. He had brought in thousands of loads of stone many years ago to get the ground firm enough for war wagons to traverse but now it was time to get serious.

Contractors were hired to survey each barony and decide the most direct routes to each. Then the large wagons will arrive with the materials he'd ordered and many men will dig deep into the earth until reaching firm ground, ...

But the curse part was he would no longer exist. Upon the son's 17th birthday the father would die within hours.

And so the curse was passed to his son after ...

If the Duke returned from his travels then the Duchee would be reinstated. It was always painful to make determinations like this with very little input, but this was necessary for the moment.
