The night had been bittersweet. Seeing Bry again. She should not have been surprised, but each time she was. She had always been glad to see him...still was...but with time she hoped it would become easier and not crack her heart. The chinks were slow in being mortared. Noone talked about it, not anymore. And, wasn't it ironic that she still wanted to run to him and talk? He had been her friend for so long, for so long they had talked and helped one another see the other side. Now, there were ...

(This was a realm wide SL from several years ago I would like to share with you. I believe it gives a lot of insight into some characters you may not know all that well. Enjoy!)

"Didja hear Mabel?" the portly chamber maid chimed in as she ambled down the servant's stair to the spacious kitchens of the castle.

"Heard what, Abbey?" came an answer from an older woman sitting upon a stool mechanically removing feathers from a freshly killed chicken for the upcoming evening ...

This was originally sent by me to a D&D plot site and is still listed there, I have not changed it from the original, so it still reads like a tabletop rp plot. I do think it could make an interesting plot within the context of the realm though, it was written with intentions of making vague the fact that the inn could be the creation of a wizard/priest/god(dess). The long awaited fleshing was an expansion made by popular demand. If it seems kinda odd or off, it's because Muses have a tendancy ...

Ok, so I've been on the idea of a few hauntings that could be in the castle, the first of which, has actually been brought into a play a few times.

This haunting would be...

The Lady in Red: A woman, wearing a burned, red gown that wanders the upper floors of the castle. A recent ghost, trapped within the confines of the castle as a residual haunting. She searches for her child, unaware that she was killed during the castle fire which happened several years ago (I'm unaware of the ...

Hogmanay: Scottish New Year

The torchlight procession has ended. The music, singing, and dancing has quieted. The bells chime midnight, and someone tall and dark is the first to set foot across the threshold, bringing a dram of whisky for prosperity’s sake. Hogmanay is over—it’s on its way to Ne’erday now. Where are you? You’re in Scotland, of course, where New Year’s Day—or Ne’erday—has a history that stretches back to the Reformation and Renaissance, and into the distant past.

Some form of winter celebration is present ...

(Yay, I get to post the first spooky on the board! Anyway, here we go...)

Not quite haunted and not quite filled with monsters, the small town of Hawick, which resides in the "Lion's Den" area of Solurius, which was governed by one Eoin (R.I.P.), has a mystery all its own.

Nobody is quite sure how the town became what it is today, just know that, on recent record, a small group of five people have gone there and only two returned.
